The teachings of the Bible are authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian life and the Christian church. These notes will be a guideline for the administration of Christian Education for understanding and implementation at Christway’s teaching and reaching ministry. It is to provide a stimulus to help us be aware of the importance of teaching training, and to suggest ways in which, with approval of leadership and implementation action might be taken.

Vacation Bible School

Purpose - To magnify God and mature His people as the cultivate a deeper relationship with Him.
New Member Orientation - Vernon and Consuevella James
Mission - New Member' Orientation is committed to helping new Christians by nourishing their spiritual growth and developing their gifts for the glorification of God.
Purpose - The New Member Orientation is designed to stimulate, motivate and strengthen the new member's commitment to follow Christ while becoming familiar with the church, expectations of membership and to jump start his/her spiritual growth as a member of the Christway Missionary Baptist Church fellowship.
Bro. Wesley Brown
Mission - At Christway Missionary Baptist Church our Outreach Evangelism team is concerned about impacting our immediate community and to impart the Word of God globally to reath the lost. We strive to transform believers into mature disciples of Jesus Christ. We have a passion for reaching the community for Jesus Christ to expand the kingdom of God and impact generations unborn. We aim to disciple people intentionally in the Word of God.
Purpose - CMBC seeks to joyfully share Christ’s love in the community of Little Rock. The focus of our Outreach Ministry is to provide a place where individuals from different ethnicities, races, and socio-economic backgrounds can come together to get connected with the Lord, Jesus Christ and with each other.
One of the greatest commands Jesus gave in the New Testament was to love your neighbor as yourself. The heart to serve comes from the Christlike love for those around us. When you get connected to a local outreach opportunity, you get to use your God-given talents to change lives, Now is the time to activate your faith and get connected to a local opportunity.
Bro. Louis Thrower
Mission - The Brotherhood of Christway Missionary Baptist Church is a united team of men dedicated to Christ and kingdom building by providing service throughout the church and community. We are committed to improving the quality of life of men while launching key programs that foster spiritual growth, servant leadership, civic involvement and health & wellness.
Purpose - The Brotherhood strives to make a vital difference in the lives of those who need us most. We invite all men of Christway to join us.
Sis. Brenda Futrell
Mission: First, reaching inward, nurturing our membership through mission study, education, fellowship, and prayer. Second, reaching outward through personal witnessing, evangelizing, helping the needy and less fortunate, and seeking justice and liberty for all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Purpose: Our overall goal is to assist the pastor and other ministry leaders as needed.
Sis. Chrystal Sanders Edwards
Mission - The mission of the Youth Ministry of Christway Missionary Baptist Church is to establish a foundation for building Christian character, morals, values and behaviors in young people ages 5 to 18; by using creative and innovative methods to excite, inspire, capture and ignite young people for Jesus. Our goal is to enable young people to understand and recognize who Jesus is and what it is to live for Him only.
Purpose - Our purpose is to respond to the social and spiritual needs of the youth within our church and community by providing relative programs, activities, and events that will allow them to build a strong foundation of faith that will enable them to express and share their faith through their own words, actions and deeds; to encourage them to use their individual talents in programs and ministries that interest them in order to nurture their growth as people of faith while providing volunteer services to the community.
Sis. Angela Willis
Mission: Isaiah 10:14-15 states, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? It is the mission of the Media Ministry to help to praise God by giving our best through the enhancement the message preached of spreading the gospel of Christ through sound/audio, video, social media, and print ministry.
Purpose: The Media Ministry records all morning services and special services, work to present clear audio and video for each worship service, provide quality print media such as the church calendar and church annual report, recording all services and special services, develop quality DVDs for those interested, provide quality training for those who use all technical equipment, and support all ministries who may need our service.
Sis. Edith Powell
Mission - To facilitate among the congregation, praising and glorifying God, through song.
Purpose - Colossians 3:16 - 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Sis. Essie Talley
We want everyone who enters our church to be greeted with open arms and open doors! Our Ushers not only hold open the doors to our foyer and pass out programs to those entering our Sanctuary, they also show people that they are welcomed and loved by our church family.
Mission - The mission of the Usher Ministry is to accommodate every congregants who enters the church with a seat in the most pleasant and efficient manner possible.
We provide a comfortable, God-fearing and loving orderly atmosphere for the congregants to come and worship.
To ensure that the members receive all necessary needs to enjoy a pleasant worship experience.
To ensure that each member is safe and the sanctuary is setup for worship.
To strive to make Christway Missionary Baptist Church a place where people want to join because of the care received from the Ushers.
Purpose - The purpose of the Usher Ministry is to serve every person that enters Christway with a one to one experience and exchange of love that radiates people from just sitting in the pew to becoming disciples of Jesus Christ through the service provided by the Usher’s Ministry.
Sis. Sonya Jackson
Mission - To empower and improve the health and welfare of our congregation and community.
Purpose - To serve as a resource to increase the personal health awareness of our church membership. In addition , we strive to encourage and support the health and safety of our congregation at all times.
Bro. Brad Cade
Mission - Advancing the Kingdom of our Savior through the Transportation Ministry in providing safe and reliable transportation.
Purpose - Transporting people to God’s House so that they can gain knowledge and understanding of God’s word. Providing safe, clean, and reliable transportation to and from Church. This was only accomplished through the Grace of God. Transporting people to and from church who otherwise wouldn't have any way to get to church.
